The Effect of Communicative Language Teaching on Students' Speaking Skill

The aims of this research were to find out whether there are good response and improvement of students' speaking skill between before and after being taught through Communicative Language Teaching (CLT). The samples of this research were the VIII A and VIII B class of the Eighth Grade of SMP Negeri 21 Tangerang in academic year 2015/2016. The researcher used non-equivalent control group design. The instrument was oral test. The result of the research showed that there was improvement of the students' speaking skill in actively communicative by using CLT. The result of t-test showed that t was bigger than ttable. The result of tcount was 4.2105 and ttable was 2.0021. It means that the researcher's hypothesis (H1), there is significant difference of post-test scores between experiment class and control class is accepted. The average score of pre-test in experiment class is 67.33 while the average score of pre-test in control class is 66.50. The average of the post-test score in experiment class was 83.00 while the average of the post-test score in control class was 75.00. It showed that CLT can improve the students' speaking skill

Program improve peoples economy is one of the pillars of the five pillars of development designed by Kampar Kampar regent governed by Kampar District Regulation No. 12 of 2012 on the Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMD ) Kampar . Improve peoples economic pillar aims to create a society that is developing the potential of natural resources and community resources to build a solid democratic economy . However, the implementation of the pillars of improving peoples economy has not done well and have not been able to change the economy of the community in its implementation in the district of Kampar Regency Tapung 2012-2013 .This study was conducted to determine the causal factors and constraints why pillars improve peoples economic program can not alter the economy of the community in its implementation in the district of Kampar subdistrictTapung 2012-2013 . The location study was conducted in the District Tapung Kampar regency . Penlitian type is qualitative research with descriptive method. The results showed that the implementation of the pillars of economic improvement of the people in the district of Kampar Regency Tapung years 2012-2013 has not done well and have not been able to change the communitys economy . Some contributing factor is the factor of communication , resource factors , factors disposition , and factor structure of the bureaucracy . Some obstacles are programs , program implementers and program beneficiaries. Keywords : Policy Implementation , Economic Improvement of the Peopl

Pengaruh Semangat Kerja Terhadap Kinerja Karyawan PT. Bangkinang Di Pekanbaru (Studi Kasus Pada Karyawan Tetap PT. Bangkinang)

This study aims to determine the effect of the spirit of work on the performance of employees on permanent employees at PT. Bangkinang .spirit of work as the independent variable ( x ) has been formulated that is seen on the level of absenteeism , job satisfaction , cooperation , and discipline, while the employee's performance as the dependent variable ( y ) . this research was carried out on all permanent employees at PT. Bangkinang many as 44 people .Data obtained from questionnaires and subsequently processed to then be tested using statistical analysis as a simple linear regression analysis, t test, and correlation analysis and determination using spss. The results showed that the results of hypothesis testing t greater than t table is 11.205 >1.998 .this shows that the morale effect on employee performance . the amount effect of the spirit of work on the performance of employeeson permanent employees at PT.Bangkinang is 73.8 %

Contiguous redshift parameterizations of the growth index

The growth rate of matter perturbations can be used to distinguish between different gravity theories and to distinguish between dark energy and modified gravity at cosmological scales as an explanation to the observed cosmic acceleration. We suggest here parameterizations of the growth index as functions of the redshift. The first one is given by γ(a)=γ~(a)11+(attc/a)+γearly11+(a/attc)\gamma(a)=\tilde\gamma(a) \frac{1}{1+(a_{_{ttc}}/a)}+\gamma_{_{early}} \frac{1}{1+(a/a_{_{ttc}})} that interpolates between a low/intermediate redshift parameterization γ~(a)=γlate(a)=γ0+(1a)γa\tilde\gamma(a)=\gamma_{_{late}}(a)= \gamma_0 + (1-a) \gamma_a and a high redshift γearly\gamma_{_{early}} constant value. For example, our interpolated form γ(a)\gamma(a) can be used when including the CMB to the rest of the data while the form γlate(a)\gamma_{_{late}}(a) can be used otherwise. It is found that the parameterizations proposed achieve a fit that is better than 0.004% for the growth rate in a Λ\LambdaCDM model, better than 0.014% for Quintessence-Cold-Dark-Matter (QCDM) models, and better than 0.04% for the flat Dvali-Gabadadze-Porrati (DGP) model (with Ωm0=0.27\Omega_m^0=0.27) for the entire redshift range up to zCMBz_{_{CMB}}. We find that the growth index parameters (γ0,γa)(\gamma_0,\gamma_a) take distinctive values for dark energy models and modified gravity models, e.g. (0.5655,0.02718)(0.5655,-0.02718) for the Λ\LambdaCDM model and (0.6418,0.06261)(0.6418,0.06261) for the flat DGP model. This provides a means for future observational data to distinguish between the models.Comment: 7 pages, 6 figures, matches PRD accepted versio

FISHING SKILL IN DEVELOPING COUNTRY FISHERIES: THE KEDAH, MALAYSIA TRAWL FISHERY

    Get PDF
Fishing skill is perceived to play a crucial role in catching fish. The question arises for fishery managers as to whether or not there are observable and measurable attributes of the skipper or vessel that can be monitored and regulated to account for skipper skill and, hence, this source of fishing capacity. Equating technical efficiency with skipper skill, this paper evaluates technical efficiency and skipper skill in the Kedah, Malaysia, trawl fishery to address this issue.Resource /Energy Economics and Policy,

Cross-Dimensional Gestural Interaction Techniques for Hybrid Immersive Environments

    Get PDF
We present a set of interaction techniques for a hybrid user interface that integrates existing 2D and 3D visualization and interaction devices. Our approach is built around one- and two-handed gestures that support the seamless transition of data between co-located 2D and 3D contexts. Our testbed environment combines a 2D multi-user, multi-touch, projection surface with 3D head-tracked, see-through, head-worn displays and 3D tracked gloves to form a multi-display augmented reality. We also address some of the ways in which we can interact with private data in a collaborative, heterogeneous workspace
